How do I install WordPress

You must be be logged into your RedRiverHost account to install WordPress.

You can login by visiting: http://my.redriverhost.com and clicking Login.

From your user dashboard, click on “Packages”, and then the “Package list” option.

From your package list, look for the web hosting service package for the account you would like to install WordPress, then look for the Actions category and click the “gear” sign which indicates settings or options.

Click "Log in to cPanel"

You will be automatically directed to a new tab, for your cPanel website manager.

In cPanel, scroll down to the category, “Software”.

Under “Blogs” click “WordPress (legacy)”.

WordPress in a folder on your site

Under Installation URL, enter the folder where you would like to install WordPress on your account. For example, enter "fashion", if you would like your WordPress site to be located at www.yourdomain.com/fashion.

WordPress in the root directory of your site

If you would like to have WordPress installed on your root directory, eg. www.yourdomain.com, simply remove the existing folder name and leave it blank. Be careful, installing in your root directory will override any existing website.

Fill out the required information and click install.
